Dr. Peter Hill, along with the rest of the PetCare Staff, work hard to provide thorough, compassionate care for dogs, cats, birds and other exotic pets. Our mission is to provide all your pets with the most advanced and compassionate level of medical, dental and surgical care possible.

About Us
PetCare Animal Hospital opened its doors in 1986 in the Blue Ash area of Cincinnati. In order to provide advanced veterinary services to a greater number of concerned pet owners, Dr. Hill and his staff opened a new satellite location in the Loveland area in June 2008. Having practiced in Cincinnati for 30 years, Dr. Hill and his team of veterinary technicians, assistants and receptionists have cared for dogs, cats, birds and exotic animals throughout the tri-state area. Along with his full-time schedule caring for dogs, cats, birds and exotics at PetCare Animal Hospital, Dr. Hill is a staff veterinarian at the Newport Aquarium where he treats a variety of exotic animal species.

  • J. Peter Hill, DVM

    Veterinarian / Owner
    Dr. J. Peter Hill has cared for pets as a general practitioner for more than two decades. It is his mission at PetCare Animal Hospital to provide high quality pet health care so that pets may live longer, happier and healthier lives. Dr. Hill's goal is to provide clients with access to cutting-edge products and services and authoritative educational content that focuses on enhancing the bond between a client and his or her pet.

    Dr. Hill received his Bachelor's degree in Animal Science and a Master's degree in Dairy Science, with a focus on Reproductive Physiology, at Ohio State University. He continued his veterinary education at the University of the Philippines College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1983.

    Dr. Hill and his wife, Julie, are the proud parents of a daughter, Lily. Their family also includes three dogs, Lucy, Bella and Mia; three parrots named Gigi, Largo, and Toby; and a tank full of fish. When he's not caring for animals at the hospital, Dr. Hill enjoys golfing, traveling, cooking, and going on hikes.

  • Jeremy M. Zola, DVM

    Associate Veterinarian
    A native of Cincinnati, Dr. Zola was born and raised in Blue Ash, where he attended Sycamore High School. Following the completion of his BA in Zoology from The Ohio State University, Dr. Zola spent a year living in Israel and working with many native Israeli wildlife species. After working as a Veterinary Technician for the next three years, he received his DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Zola lives in Mason with his wife Felicia, his son Isaac and their dog Irie.  In his spare time, he enjoys exploring creeks and ponds, as well as hiking through forests. He enjoys working with all types of exotic pets, as well as cats and dogs.

  • Jean Gladis, DVM

    Dr. Gladis has been with PetCare since 2014, but has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 20 years.  She has worked with both large and small animals, exotic pets, and wildlife.  She enjoys interacting with owners as much as her patients and educating them with proper medical husbandry and practices.

    Dr. Gladis spends most of her free time with her husband, Kurt, and their critters which include a lab (Woody), a dobe (Scarlet), a rescue lab mix (BeBe), two cats (Buell, the one eyed cat and Mew), and two adult bearded dragons (George and Spike). She is definitely the outdoorsy type, and enjoys kayaking, bird watching, biking, hiking and when the weather does not cooperate she likes to do woodworking projects and enjoys sketching and painting. Dr. Gladis has done lots of traveling and even lived in Australia for several years!

  • Lauren Brehob

    Business Director
    Lauren began her career at PetCare as a Veterinary Assistant in June 2010.  After years of hard-work and learning the business, she was promoted to Business Director in November 2014.  She still enjoys helping clients establish preventative care strategies to help their pets live a happy, healthy life but has really enjoyed working hands on with all of the reptile patients that come in.

    Prior to coming to PetCare, Lauren worked as an Operations Supervisor at the Newport Aquarium.  Outside of work she enjoys spending her time hiking, SCUBA diving, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. Lauren and her husband are parents to a little girl, a Louisiana Catahoula pup, a cat and a menagerie of reptiles.

  • Angie Hudson

    Veterinary Technician
    Angie Hudson has been a Registered Veterinary Technician since graduating in June 2001. She obtained her many veterinary skills at several emergency clinics in the Cincinnati area. She joined PetCare in February 2012. Angie is a University of Cincinnati graduate with degrees in both Biology and Animal Sciences.

    During her many years as a technician Angie has developed a strong interest in animal behavior as well as exotic and small animal medicine. She prides herself on educating clients in all aspects of animal care.

    Outside of work, Angie enjoys spending time with her own pets. She also enjoys running, hiking, drawing and painting.

  • Meghan Alexander

    Veterinary Assistant
    Meghan has been at PetCare since November 2013. She enjoys the birds and cat patients the most.  At home, she is the proud mom to 9 rescue cats and a dog. Her free time mostly consists of nursing school and studying, but when she’s not studying she enjoys anything outdoors or riding her motorcycle.

  • Ashley Houston

    Veterinary Assistant
    Ashley joined PetCare in August 2017.  She enjoys all the furry patients we see but her favorite are the scaley ones.  When she isn't working, she volunteers at Arrowhead Reptile Rescue and coaches gymnastics.  Ashley also enjoys drawing and all outdoor activities.  She is the proud owner of an all grey cat named Berlioz, who she found as a stray kitten at 2 months old, and a crested gecko named Oscar.  If you see her in the office, feel free to stop and chat with her about the fish tank in the Blue Ash lobby - it's another hobby of hers!

  • Kelly Acosta

    Veterinary Assistant
    Kellie started working at PetCare in September 2018.  She grew up in Cincinnati, but moved to Wichita, KS, to go to college.  She has degrees in Zoo Science and Field Biology. Kellie's first job out of college was a zookeeper at Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita.  For 8 years she cared for birds, bats, and various small mammals.

    At PetCare, Kellie enjoys working with all of the different animals that come into the clinic.  When she isn't working, she spends as much time with her family as she can.  Her family includes her husband, their daughter and one dog.

  • Lydia Trick

    Veterinary Assistant
    Lydia has been working at PetCare since March 2019. She is a UC graduate, with degrees in Biology, Environmental Studies, and Spanish language, and has spent the past year volunteering as a zookeeper at the Cincinnati Zoo. She is a parent to a bearded dragon and a milk snake. When she’s not working, she enjoys horseback riding and watching nature documentaries

  • Ragen Gibson

    Receptionist
    Ragen recently joined PetCare Animal Hospital. She loves animals and really enjoys working with them all. She is a mother of two daughters, Riely who is 18 and leaving in August for Ohio State to study aerospace engineering; and Rebeka who is 14 and starting her new adventure in high school as a freshman. They have 3 dogs. Bandit, Chubs, and Tank. When she is not at work, she loves to be outdoors.

  • Eric Roman

    Groomer
    Eric Roman joined PetCare Animal Hospital in May of 2012. He was born in San Diego, CA, and moved to Ohio in 1994. Eric says that his involvement with animals was just "meant to be".

    Grooming came easy to him and he has always had a way with dogs. He has trained with some of the top groomers in the country and continually attends various trade shows and seminars to further his skills.

    Eric has won awards for his grooming in competitions and took second place in the 2012 PetQuest Grooming Competition for his terrier groom.

    When away from PetCare, Eric is an avid hiker. He enjoys fishing, canoeing down the Little Miami River and snowboarding at Perfect North in the winter.
