Dr. Peter Hill, along with the rest of the PetCare Staff, work hard to provide thorough, compassionate care for dogs, cats, birds and other exotic pets. Our mission is to provide all your pets with the most advanced and compassionate level of medical, dental and surgical care possible.

About Us
PetCare Animal Hospital opened its doors in 1986 in the Blue Ash area of Cincinnati. In order to provide advanced veterinary services to a greater number of concerned pet owners, Dr. Hill and his staff opened a new satellite location in the Loveland area in June 2008. Having practiced in Cincinnati for 30 years, Dr. Hill and his team of veterinary technicians, assistants and receptionists have cared for dogs, cats, birds and exotic animals throughout the tri-state area. Along with his full-time schedule caring for dogs, cats, birds and exotics at PetCare Animal Hospital, Dr. Hill is a staff veterinarian at the Newport Aquarium where he treats a variety of exotic animal species.

Our modern facility is equipped with the latest veterinary medical care equipment.   • J. Peter Hill, DVM

    Veterinarian / Owner
    Dr. J. Peter Hill has cared for pets as a general practitioner for more than two decades. It is his mission at PetCare Animal Hospital to provide high quality pet health care so that pets may live longer, happier and healthier lives. Dr. Hill's goal is to provide clients with access to cutting-edge products and services and authoritative educational content that focuses on enhancing the bond between a client and his or her pet.

    Dr. Hill received his Bachelor's degree in Animal Science and a Master's degree in Dairy Science, with a focus on Reproductive Physiology, at Ohio State University. He continued his veterinary education at the University of the Philippines College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1983.

    Dr. Hill and his wife, Julie, are the proud parents of a daughter, Lily. Their family also includes three dogs, Lucy, Bella and Mia; three parrots named Gigi, Largo, and Toby; and a tank full of fish. When he's not caring for animals at the hospital, Dr. Hill enjoys golfing, traveling, cooking, and going on hikes.

  • Lauren Brehob

    Business Director
    Lauren began her career at PetCare as a Veterinary Assistant in June 2010.  After years of hard-work and learning the business, she was promoted to Business Director in November 2014.  She still enjoys helping clients establish preventative care strategies to help their pets live a happy, healthy life but has really enjoyed working hands on with all of the reptile patients that come in.

    Prior to coming to PetCare, Lauren worked as an Operations Supervisor at the Newport Aquarium.  She is also a volunteer at the Aquarium with both the husbandry staff and DIVE crew. Outside of work she enjoys spending her time hiking, SCUBA diving, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. Lauren and her husband share their home with three cats, a Vietnamese Mossy frog, two turtles, three snakes, a crested gecko and a tank full of fish. They hope to get a puppy this spring!

  • Angie Hudson

    Veterinary Technician
    Angie Hudson has been a Registered Veterinary Technician since graduating in June 2001. She obtained her many veterinary skills at several emergency clinics in the Cincinnati area. She joined PetCare in February 2012. Angie is a University of Cincinnati graduate with degrees in both Biology and Animal Sciences.

    During her many years as a technician Angie has developed a strong interest in animal behavior as well as exotic and small animal medicine. She prides herself on educating clients in all aspects of animal care.

    Outside of work, Angie enjoys spending time with her own pets. She also enjoys running, hiking, drawing and painting.
  • Jen Wilmes

    Receptionist

    Jen Wilmes joined the PetCare team in June 2014. While not new to client services, this is her first job in the veterinary industry and she loves making our clients and patients feel welcome and at home. She studied Special Education at University of Evansville, and received her license for Massage Therapy in 2005.

    Outside of work, she loves caring for her own dog, being with family and friends, and reading. She is a proud native of Cincinnati and an avid Bengals fan.

  • Kelly Carberry

    Veterinary Assistant

    Kelly Carberry graduated from the Animal Science and Management program at Live Oaks C.D.C in 2004. She has worked in multiple small animal practices and comes to Pet Care with 10+ years experience. Her passion for animals started as a small child bringing home all the neighborhood strays. She provides enthusiastic and passionate care for your fur babies, scaled, and feathered friends.

    Kelly is a single mother to a son named Jaxson who loves animal just as much as she does. They own two dogs named Colt and Frank, a kitten named Nemo, and the newest addition, Toothless, a bearded dragon. Kelly loves meeting all of our clients.

  • Katie McKenna

    Veterinary Assistant

    Katie McKenna joined our PetCare staff summer of 2015 as a vet assistant.  She graduated from Vanderbilt University with degrees in Biology and Anthropology and is working towards a doctorate in veterinary medicine.  Her love of animals started with horses and she grew up showing nationally in the hunter jumper division.  She spent time at Vanderbilt working in a thrombosis research lab and volunteering at with the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind’s equine therapy program.  Katie enjoys the opportunity to extend her knowledge in the small animals and exotics that come into PetCare.

    In her spare time, Katie loves to take her dog, Dingo, hiking in various areas around Cincinnati.  She devotes time to her family and friends, as well as working as a server at Taft’s Ale House on the weekends.

  • Eric Roman

    Groomer
    Eric Roman joined PetCare Animal Hospital in May of 2012. He was born in San Diego, CA, and moved to Ohio in 1994. Eric says that his involvement with animals was just "meant to be".

    Grooming came easy to him and he has always had a way with dogs. He has trained with some of the top groomers in the country and continually attends various trade shows and seminars to further his skills.

    Eric has won awards for his grooming in competitions and took second place in the 2012 PetQuest Grooming Competition for his terrier groom.

    When away from PetCare, Eric is an avid hiker. He enjoys fishing, canoeing down the Little Miami River and snowboarding at Perfect North in the winter.
